Chinese company BYD will officially introduce its new Seal DM-i on Wednesday, and the mid-size hybrid sedan will be displayed for pre-sale at the Chengdu Auto Show. The manufacturer announced that the car will be offered in six hybrid models, with a 1.5 turbo and 1.5 naturally aspirated engine, with a range of 121 and 200 km in electric mode. The first five models offer a range of up to 121 km, while the latest version offers the longest range. Consumption rate is 3.9 liters per 100 km, accelerating from 0 to 100 km per hour in 7.9 seconds. The car is designed on a chassis length of 4,980 mm, width of 1,890 mm, while its height is 1,495 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. The Seal DM-i's cabin includes a full LCD instrument panel, a large adaptive center control display and a head-up display. The car is also equipped with wood trim, a large sunroof, and thick rear seats, equipped with Dynaudio speakers and 12 airbags. This car is offered by BYD at a starting price of 176,800 Chinese yuan, equivalent to approximately 750,000 Egyptian pounds, and 246,800 yuan for the highest category, equivalent to approximately 1,500,000 Egyptian pounds.
